Our Christmas present to each other this year was to get a head start on our nursery. I needed to nest! We freehanded birch trees on our accent wall and painted the rest of the wall a light blue. The other three walls are a light grey. We're going to accent the room with brighter colors - red, a more aqua or turquoise blue, a pretty green, yellow, brown. We're still trying to find that "perfect" bedding. :) It's hard when you don't know the gender of your baby! Or the age! We're having fun anyway though. Ben's mom purchased a rocking chair for me over the break as well and I love it! We've added a few touches to the room until we can furnish it so it is beginning to feel like a nursery. We can't wait to keep adding things here and there! Enjoy!
We are so excited about the way the Lord is building our family! We brought our precious son Abe home from Ethiopia in 2011, and he is such a JOY! The Lord has used this journey of adoption to teach us more about what it is to be adopted into His family. It is our prayer that our lives would reflect that love, and that our children will grasp all that the Father has done for them. Join us on our continued journey to become a family of 4 through our adoption from Haiti!

Our life in pictures.
We had to put together a "pictorial essay" with pictures and descriptions for our dossier. This will help our agency get to know us a bit as they attempt to match us with our child (although, we know the Lord already has that part done). :) Here are some samples...
The dossier is almost done! And once we send everything in, we'll just be waiting to be matched with our child! That could take 3-6 months, but we've been told it's usually one the lesser end. Keep praying! We're getting very excited!
